Clematis Subgenera, Sections, and Groups: What are we talking about?

FRCC Curator Linda Beutler will present two Power Points via Zoom, starting with a brief (half hour-ish) look at the structure of botanical names and the parts of clematis flowers so we have some basics under our belt. There will be time for questions before diving into the deep end of the main PowerPoint.

Please register here. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to the meeting.

Montanas, the Atragenes, Novae-Zealandae, and the Earliest Large-Flowered Hybrids

Join FRCC Curator Linda Beutler in the Garden for a look at the subgenera, sections, and other early-bird bloomers who take the baton from the Winter Bloomers. Which rebloom? How are these pruned and fertilized? This is an all-weather tour so hope for sun, but expect rain!

Curator Quarterly #3

A Peek at Peak Bloom

Join FRCC Curator Linda Beutler on a walk through the Garden with a focus on the Clematis viticella hybrids, Large-flowered Hybrids, the Integrifolia Group, and smaller horticultural groups at their prime. We will discuss which rebloom, how to tweak their pruning, and other special cultivation specifics. There should be some fabulous plant combinations putting on a show. An earlier start allows for better light and cooler temperatures!
